New Play Exchange
This is a very inexpensive, very useful resource for playwrights of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience. The New Play Exchange allows playwrights to upload their scripts and tag them with the appropriate key words to make them searchable to literary managers, directors, and producers. Script readers, dramaturgs, literary managers and other new play enthusiasts are invited to give plays positive feedback– a kind of digital thumbs up or pat on the back that lets fellow users of the site know, "Hey, this playwright is great and I love 'em!" NPX is a collaboration led by the National New Play Network with several other organizations, including Chicago Dramatists, Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas, the Playwrights' Center, and the Playwrights' Foundation.
